Privacy Policy
KG Driver · Last updated: September 4, 2026
KG Driver is a dispatch and coordination app for licensed executive-transport operators. It is a business tool: the people who install it are operators and their drivers. Passengers do not install anything and do not have accounts.
This policy explains what the app collects, why, and who else sees it.
1. Who this policy is about
Two different groups of people appear in this app, and they are treated differently.
Operators and drivers — the people who use the app
They create an account, sign in, and use the app to run their work. The information below is provided by them or by the operator who registered them.
Passengers — the people a ride is for
A passenger never installs the app and never creates an account. Their details are entered by the operator who took the booking, so that the ride can be performed. We process that information on the operator's behalf; the operator is responsible for the relationship with their own customer.
2. What is collected
| Information | About whom | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Name, phone number, email address | Operators and drivers | To identify the account and to sign in. Sign-in is by phone number plus a one-time code — there is no password. |
| Driver's licence number and, where applicable, TLC licence number | Operators and drivers | To confirm that whoever is driving is licensed to do so. |
| Photographs of vehicles and of licence or registration documents | Operators and drivers | To verify a vehicle before it can be assigned to work. Stored in non-public storage. |
| Vehicle details — make, model, year, plate, capacity, fuel economy | Operators | To match a vehicle to a booking and to calculate the cost of a trip. |
| Passenger name and phone number | Passengers | To perform the ride and to send the passenger confirmations and updates about it. |
| Pick-up and drop-off addresses, stops, flight number, ride preferences | Passengers | To perform the ride and to estimate its distance, duration and cost. |
| Messages sent through the app | Both | Coordination about a specific ride — between the operator and the driver, and between the operator and the passenger. |
| Push notification token | Operators and drivers | To notify a device about work that needs attention. Deleted when the person signs out. |
3. Who else the information reaches
Information is shared only with the service providers needed to make the app work, and only for that purpose. They are not permitted to use it for their own ends.
| Provider | What reaches them | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | All stored information, including photographs | Database and file storage. |
| Netlify | Requests made by the app | Runs the server code. |
| Twilio | Phone numbers, and the text of SMS or WhatsApp messages sent | Delivers sign-in codes and ride messages. |
| Expo (push notification service) | Push token and the text of the notification | Delivers notifications to a device. |
| Google (Routes API) | Pick-up, drop-off and stop addresses for a ride | Calculates distance, duration and tolls, so that the cost of a ride can be estimated. No name, phone number or other passenger detail is sent with the request. |
| Apple | Information you choose to give Apple when installing a beta build | Applies only during TestFlight beta distribution. |
Information may also be disclosed where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
4. What each operator can see
Operators can pass a ride to another operator when they cannot cover it themselves. When that happens, the operator performing the ride receives what is needed to drive it — the addresses, the time, the vehicle class — and does not receive the passenger's telephone number. Rides offered on the shared board show a generalised location rather than a street address until a ride is actually assigned.
5. How long it is kept
Account information is kept for as long as the account exists. Ride records are kept afterwards because they are the operator's own business records — what was charged, what it cost, what happened. Sign-in codes are discarded as soon as they are used or expire; push tokens are deleted at sign-out.
6. Your choices
You can ask for a copy of the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to the address at the foot of this page and we will respond.
If you are a passenger, the operator who booked your ride holds the relationship with you; you may also contact them directly. If you contact us, we will help.
7. Children
This is a tool for working transport professionals. It is not directed at children and is not intended for anyone under 18.
8. Security
Access is protected by a one-time code sent to a registered phone number; there are no passwords to be guessed or reused. Documents and photographs are held in non-public storage. Each operator's data is separated from every other operator's, and that separation is enforced on the server rather than in the app.
9. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. Material changes will be communicated in the app.
